Student Leader Elections

The Missouri ACP Student Council leaders is an active role that will require some time to be dedicated to the role each month. The individuals will work closely with the Chapter Executive Director to promote Missouri ACP in the medical schools around Missouri. Missouri ACP will provide resources, however, the student leaders need to be able to work independently while keeping the executive director updated on activities.
Responsibilities of the Medical Student Council will include:

• Actively participate in Missouri ACP
• Attend Council meetings and provide updates to the Governor’s Council during meetings
• Plan the annual student event during the Scientific Meeting
• Welcome new student members each month
• Work with IMIG programs around the state to promote Missouri ACP and their events
• Work with MO ACP Executive Director to coordinate student recruitment activities/events
• Promote student events
• Assist in annual Missouri ACP volunteerism event or coordinate a student volunteerism event
• Develop and hold the election for the following year student leaders
• Develop a leadership succession plan in each school, with an eye toward leadership development, and plan to nominate a candidate with leadership to the Council of Student Members in the next several years.
