Annotated Poster Instructions

All posters in the Missouri ACP 2020 Featured Poster Competition will be submitted as a video using voiceover within PowerPoint. The videos shall be no longer than 5 minutes and are restricted to no larger than 8 MB/video. All videos will be submitted to MO ACP as an MP4 file using a DropBox account and MO ACP will upload them to YouTube for judging. Videos should be titled with residency program or  medical school shortened name (ATSU, KCUMB, Mercy, MU, SLU, StMarys, StLukes, UMKC, WashU), followed by poster presenters last name, first name, and first three words of poster title.

Tips for creating Annotated PowerPoint presentation:
  1. Please test your audio for the best sound quality prior to creating your presentation. If you have a USB microphone, this is the best option for clarity. If you do not have this option, please be sure to speak loudly and clearly when recording the audio.
  2. Your video presentation will be a single slide of your poster with your voiceover added to that slide. There are several ways in which to create this, and if you are unsure of how to do it I would suggest Googling instructions based on your version of PowerPoint and the type of computer you are using.
  3. Save your PowerPoint in the PowerPoint format. This is an important step. Once you save it as a MP4 file you cannot open it as a PowerPoint file unless you saved it as one prior to exporting.
  4. Export the annotated PowerPoint as an MP4 file. To stay within the 8 MB limit you will want to save it as Internet Quality, not the lowest or highest file size. If you cannot get your video under the 8MB limit without significantly decreasing the sound or image quality, please save it as close to 8MB as possible.
Each program/school will be sent a link to a DropBox folder in which to upload your files. If you have issues uploading, please contact Cheri Martin via email cmartin@msma.org, or by phone at 573-636-5151.
