Missouri ACP Governor

Daniel Goodenberger, MD, MACP

Dan Goodenberger, MD, MACP, has been elected by the members of the Missouri Chapter to serve as Governor.  Dr. Goodenberger began his term as Governor-elect after the Annual Business Meeting in New Orleans, LA, on April 21, 2018, and took office as Governor in April of 2019.
Education: MD, Duke University
Post Doctoral Training: Internal Medicine Residency, Brigham and Women's Hospital; Clinical Associate, NIH; Pulmonary fellowship, Boston University
Certification: Internal Medicine; Pulmonary Diseases
Present Position: Chief, Medical Service, St. Louis Veterans Affairs Medical Center; Professor of Medicine, Washington University
ACP Chapter Involvement and Leadership Activities: Dr. Goodenberger served the Missouri Chapter as Councilor for 6 years before 2012, and 2015-present, and was four times the Program Chair for the annual Chapter meeting. He served on the Governor’s Council in Nevada, and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Texas Chapter from 2011-2013. He was recipient of the Missouri Chapter Laureate Award. He has been an invited speaker at each of the last two Missouri Chapter meetings.

Other Appointments/Activities: Dr. Goodenberger was, from 2008-2013, Chief of the Medical Service at the Dallas Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and Professor and Vice-Chair of the Department of Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.
