Faculty and Speaker Presentation Guidelines
Suggested Formatting for all PowerPoint Presentations:
Please maintain a minimum font size at least 20 (includes text in figures, tables, and graphics).
- Please include only figures large enough for the entire audience of 200 people to see.
- Please emphasize more pictures / graphs on slides, and avoid dense text. Explanatory text can be placed in presenter notes to guide the speaker.
- Please include relevant potential conflict-of-interest disclosures.
We suggest each presentation include:
o Three to four learning objectives that indicate the knowledge or behavior the audience member should be able to demonstrate at the end of the talk.
o At least one clinical case that is introduced near the beginning of the talk and re-visited near the end.
o At least two questions posed to the audience, with audience responses given via Turning Point, a polling software. Click here for more information on Turning Point.
